Mobile Fashion Week

The dates to be put on the calendar are August 8th through 13th. This will be a week Mobile will never forget. There is so much to share with you. Most important, a portion of ticket sales, and sponsorship donations will be donated to “The Penelope House” and “Camp Rap-A-Hope.”

The first four days will include a total of sixteen or more boutiques. We will feature four or more each day. Each of these featured boutiques will offer some great choices for those carrying their Fashion Week passes. Fashion Week ticket holders will be offered either a minimum of 20% off, gift with purchase, or a percentage of the sales will go to our charities. The last two days will be two completely different New York style runway shows, featuring different stores, boutiques, sponsors, etc.

Two more amazing events that will be happening during Fashion Week are our Clothing Designer and Model Search. The first will be a contest for all Clothing Designers interested. Three designers will be chosen from entries emailed in prior to Fashion Week. Those three designers will walk a minimum of six (6) looks during our Friday, August 12th show where the Fashion Week ticket holders will vote for the best of the best. Those looks will hit the runway again on our Saturday, August 13th show. The winner will be announced right after the show. The winning designer will win a six (6)-page spread in “Coastal Lifestyle Magazine”, and have their looks manufactured & represented at a local boutiques and online!

The second contest will be for any unrepresented aspiring models. The top five models will be voted on via facebook/website. The top three (3) models with the most votes will walk during our Friday, August 12th show where the Fashion Week ticket holders will vote for the best of the best. Those three (3) models will hit the runway again on our Saturday, August 13th show. The winner will be announced right after the show. The winning model will win a six (6)-page spread in “Coastal Lifestyle Magazine”, double representation with Barefoot Models and Talent in Mobile and Real People Models and Talent in Birmingham.

This event will have much local magazine, television, & radio coverage with a preview “meet the designers & models” piece by Mobile Bay Magazine, which will be in MBM's Anniversary Issue in August right before the event!
